A large Club contingent headed south to Kenmore for the Saturday Sprint and Sunday’s British Championship Middle Distance events.
Sarah McGregor, Sarah Johnston and Dave Evans took to the very choppy waters of Loch Tay to start their sprint and their efforts were rewarded with great performances, particularly for Sarah McGregor who came 3rd in her age category.
The middle distance event was a first for many of those competing for the Club. And what an achievement it was!! The weather was appalling with torrential rain leading to flooded roads….not ideal for an 88km cycle. After a few days contemplation, everyone agreed that they’d actually enjoyed the experience and there were some fantastic times. Huge congratulations to Steve Sharpe, Ed Dunbar, Andrew Stevens, Colin McGregor, Michael Laing, Simon McDonald, Kenny Craib and Bob Mann.
