Sixty four competitors braved windy and wet conditions to complete the 2022 Gordonstoun Triathlon.

The event consisted of a 412 m swim in the Gordonstoun pool followed by a 25 km cycle on local roads and ended with a 5 km run within the beautiful grounds of Gordonstoun.

In 2021 the competition was named “Scottish Event of the Year” by the National Governing body, Triathlon Scotland. For some this year’s was their first experience competing in a triathlon event and, despite the conditions, everyone enjoyed the challenge with particular praise going to the enthusiastic marshals.

Moray Firth Triathlon Club would like to thank the staff and pupils of Gordonstoun for assisting in the organisation and running of the event, Aldi for sponsoring the chip timing and Lees Wealth Management for sponsoring the under 20s prizes.

First male overall (and first Under 20 male) was Bruce Evans. Second male was Andrew McGhee and third was Nathan Howells.

First female overall was Catriona Forsyth, second was Mari Lawson and third was Lisa McShea.

First under 20 female was Bonnie Watt.
